One of our Brunchkateers celebrated a birthday last weekend at Spill the Wine. They offer a reasonably priced brunch buffet with a $5 bloody mary bar. The scrambled eggs and french toast were quite fine, but sadly the buffet benedict was not. Has anyone actually ever had a good benedict from a buffet though? I would vote to ban the buffet benedict. It’s just not a good idea.

Later that night……The season 2 finale of Downton Abbey aired. I hosted some of my favorite people, and surprised them with this delicious and attractive cake (courtesy of  Taste of Love Bakery– thanks Marie!)
